5 Muslims visited by Jesus Christ

Posted by afghanjohn on October 31, 2007

Tonight is Halloween. A night when people celebrate the dark side of the supernatural by pretending they believe in it.

The Dark Invisible

Well, we who are in Christ know the Truth (for He Is the Truth): the supernatural does exist – but it’s not something to live in fear of.

I lived in Afghanistan for years, and I can tell you that Muslims all over the world believe strongly in the existence of the supernatural. It terrifies them. Many of them still hold to animist superstitions, forever tormented by the fear of “jinn” (mischievous or malicious demons). Because they accept the existence
of the unseen world, but have no relationship with a personal God and Savior, they are at the mercy of a multitude of dark forces, real or imagined.

Light Made Flesh

Jesus comes to ransom us from this darkness “into the Kingdom of His marvelous light.” And He’s doing the same for Muslims.

For years, I’ve heard tales of Muslims across the world coming to Christ after seeing Him in a vision or a dream. There are just too many of these stories to discount. (As an interesting note, the same thing has been happening to a number of media leaders – mostly Jews – in Hollywood. Pray for both groups.)

More Than Dreams

Now, just recently, a Christian film company has produced a DVD chronicling the true stories of five Muslims who were visited by Jesus Christ on their road to salvation. It’s called More Than Dreams.

Each of the five stories is dramatized and re-enacted, and is narrated in the original “heart language” by the real-life believer (not an actor). Every segment is followed up by a pastor’s explanation of how one can become a follower of Christ – also in the original language, making the disc a powerful evangelistic tool for five language groups: Arabic, Turkish, Indonesian, Farsi (Iran), and Hausa (Nigeria). Each segment is from 25 to 45 minutes long.

How to Get a Copy

Truth For Muslims intends to stock these DVDs.

And here’s another good thing:

The whole film is available for viewing online for FREE.

The compression quality is even pretty good. Just visit www.morethandreams.org and click on
one of the five stories. They’re all subtitled in English. (The DVDs will also have English dubbing available as a second audio track.)

I’m really excited about this film, both as an encouragement to the Church and as a tool for reaching Muslims. I hope you’ll check it out right now, and get a copy from Truth For Muslims as soon
as they’re available. These stories are powerful.

Marjaneh Seirafi-Pour, promoter of Islamic ideology

Posted by afghanjohn on October 24, 2007

Marjaneh Seirafi-Pour is promoting Islamic ideology in Oklahoma.

She is the chairwoman of the Governor’s Ethnic American Advisory Council, according to news sources such as Tulsa World, which reports about lawmakers refusing to accept Qurans given to them by the governor’s council.

A good source about the Oklahoma Quran news story is an article in The Norman Transcript, which quotes University of Oklahoma religious studies professor David Vishanoff, who specializes in Islamic studies. ”While some parts of the Quran are ‘hair raising,’ Vishanoff said they are subject to interpretation. ‘It’s a Seventh Century Arabian book. You can say the same thing about the Bible … it’s all in there.’”

On a personal note, Marjaneh Seirafi-Pour seems like an Iranian name to me. While I couldn’t verify that she is indeed from Iran, her name sounds Iranian to me. Not many Iranians in America promote Isalm. In fact, most Iranians in the United States fled here to get away from Islam. So when I hear about Iranians in America promoting Islamic ideology, such as the Manassas Mosque in Northern Virginia, red flags go up in my mind.

What kinds of Iranians promote Islam? Think about it.

President George Bush: Islam Is a “Great Religion that Preaches Peace” and Timothy McVeigh was a Christian

Posted by afghanjohn on October 7, 2007

According to USINFO, a website “produced and maintained by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Information Programs”, President George Bush said in an October 4, 2007 Arab television program that Islam is a “great religion that preaches peace.”

According to World Net Daily, Bush made the statement “in an interview with Al Arabiya reporter Elie Nakouzi.”

The U.S. Department of State website also stated,  ”The president said he does not believe that those who murder innocent men, women and children for political objectives are ‘religious people,’ whether they be suicide bombers in Iraq or self-proclaimed Christians such as Timothy McVeigh, who killed 168 people in a 1995 bombing in Oklahoma City.”

When did Timothy McVeigh claim to be a Christian? The Muslim leaders in America have also tried to make the point that McVeigh was a Christian. But there is no evidence that McVeigh was a Christian or ever claimed to be a Christian. He did not justify his actions from the teachings of Jesus Christ or anything in the Bible.

So now it seems President George Bush has bought into the Muslim lie that Timothy McVeigh stated that he was a Christian or lived like he was a Christian.

The comparison of McVeigh as a Christian to Muslims who commit acts of violence has no basis. For example the 9/11 killers claimed to be Muslims, they justified their actions with references to the Quran and the life and teachings of Mohammed, and prayed in a number of mosques in the U.S. They considered their actions to be an act of jihad, which is a major theological tenant of Islam. This is why it makes sense for people to associate the 9/11 killers as Muslims.

Timothy McVeigh was never a Christian and never claimed to be one either.

Mr. President, please wake up!

America, don’t be deceived by such foolish logic. It comes to us by way way of the Muslim leaders in America.

McCain Asked to Appoint Muslim Advisors

Posted by afghanjohn on October 4, 2007

According to the New York Daily News, presidential candidate, Senator John McCain stated last week that the United States is a “Christian nation.”

According to Bradley Burston in HAARETZ.com, Senator McCain also stated, “”We are a nation that was based on Judeo-Christian values.”

Now the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) expects Sen. McCain to “appoint a Muslim campaign advisor and a Muslim White House aide if elected in 2008.”

Here is the press release  issued by CAIR:

McCain Asked to Appoint Muslim Advisors

Candidate uncomfortable with Muslim in the White House

WASHINGTON, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The Council on
American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today called on presidential candidate
Sen. John McCain to appoint a Muslim campaign advisor and a Muslim White
House aide if elected in 2008.

CAIR’s request came following McCain’s remarks that America is a
“Christian” nation and that he would not be comfortable with a Muslim in
the White House.

In response to a question from Beliefnet.com about the possibility of a
Muslim presidential candidate, the Arizona senator said: “I just have to
say in all candor that since this nation was founded primarily on Christian
principles, that’s a decision the American people would have to make, but
personally, I prefer someone who I know who has a solid grounding in my
faith.”

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/30/us/politics/30mccain.html

A “clarification” issued by the McCain campaign failed to address the
issue, but focused instead on the senator’s belief that “people of all
faiths are entitled to all the rights protected by the Constitution.”
McCain’s campaign spokesperson also said: “In the interview [McCain] also
observed that the values protected by the Constitution, by which he meant
values such as respect for human life and dignity, are rooted in the
Judeo-Christian tradition.”

“The Constitution, reflecting the principles of the Founding Fathers
and those who voted for its ratification, prohibits religious tests for
public office,” said CAIR National Legislative Director Corey Saylor.
“Senator McCain should know that our nation was founded on universal moral
principles common to many religions and philosophies. He does a disservice
to those principles by suggesting that not belonging to a particular
religious group limits an individual’s ability to lead.”

Saylor said Muslim advisors could offer McCain accurate information on
issues related to Islam and the American Muslims.

McCain’s stated concerns about a Muslim presidential candidate come in
the wake of comments by Rep. Peter King (R-NY) who said “we have too many
mosques in this country.” King is an advisor to Rudy Giuliani, who is also
running for president.

CAIR, America’s largest Islamic civil liberties group, has 33 offices
and chapters nationwide and in Canada. Its mission is to enhance the
understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties,
empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and
mutual understanding.
